On Wednesdays, we’ll introduce the students who make up Year 9 of High School Confidential, powered by Danville Area Community College. Today: Uni’s Ivy Pullen-Heuman.
Uni High is home to one of our area’s finest senior traditions. Since 1972, soon-to-graduate Illineks are allowed one spot on a school wall — 8 inches by 11 inches — where they can paint their handprint or any other mark they’d like to leave.
“I’m really excited to put my handprint on Uni, and I’ve been brainstorming what I want to do for a couple years now,” Ivy said. “I’m currently thinking some marine animal, as I’m an avid fan of fish, my favorite of which is the rainbow trout.”
